Oliver von Hagen is a sustainability professional with over 15 years of progressive responsibility and leadership, and a track record of developing and implementing strategic sustainability, traceability and science based decarbonization programs. ​
He combines a deep understanding of sustainability challenges across industries, regulatory requirements, building competitive advantage

and managing business transformation, with expertise on sustainable supply chain development, creating industry-level partnerships, and new technologies for digitization and traceability.
Having served as Sustainability Manager Global Sourcing and as Director Ingredients Sustainability with Barry Callebaut from 2014 to 2023, Oliver has played a key role in positioning Barry Callebaut as an industry leader in sustainability, achieving top rankings from Sustainalytics, MSCI and CDP, in areas such as ESG management, forest, climate, and supply chain management.​

In addition to his corporate career, Oliver worked for the UN/ WTO International Trade Centre (ITC) for 6 years. He is a guest lecturer at the Graduate Institute in Geneva and an Advisory Board member for various organizations, including the ITC.
Oliver holds a Master's degree in Sustainability Management from Harvard University and an MBA from Free University of Berlin. He has also completed executive education at INSEAD Business School and Kellogg School of Management.
Finally, Oliver is fluent in German, English, French, and Spanish. He has worked across several countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.​
